Spooning in the Apocalypse is a podcast set after the end of days and after the work day has ended. Tune your fictional dial, to the fictional radio network WSPN the Spoon, for the fictional call in style radio show Radiationships…it’s fictional. In each episode registered Professor Shaum Defroyen and his co-host, Radd Flink offer advice and solace to Apocalyptic relationships. Whether the callers are learning to love themselves or someone else, Radiationships will tickle the right spot.
If the weight of your Apocalypse is too much, let them Apoca-pick you up.
This project was started by our studio and is still a vital part even though on hiatus.
The Mixer began in our conversations. The ones we’d have at parties, meetings, events, the ones we’d have when we were off in the corner and all of the sudden someone said, “this happens to me, does it happen to you?” and someone else got to say, sometimes for the first time, “yes, that does happen to me, too!”
It’s a small thing — that feeling of connection, that idea that maybe you aren’t so weird, maybe there are others asking questions like yours, maybe other people also feel like they don’t fit in anywhere. Maybe other people wonder how to check their privilege while also recognizing how racism has affected them. Maybe some other folk had an identity crisis the first time they had to check a racial demographic box, and still don’t entirely know how to process it. We’re not promising answers. We are promising that we will continue asking the hard questions we face in our daily lives, and that we would like you to join us — whether you are like us, or not like us at all.
While not everyone in this band is from our studio, this was all produced and recorded by us.
In the fall of 2013, Legs Nose Robinson came together as three Whovians with an idea about reinventing
the world of TROCK music. One month later, they had their first single, and their first YouTube hit, “The
Oncoming Storm,” and a year after that they had released an EP by the same title. Since then, LNR has
added two new members to their group and the five piece band has gone on to establish itself as the most
active and highly viewed TROCK band in the world, with a total of over 389K views for their music. In 2018 the released their final album "Z is for Xylophone"
videos and webisodes, including the ridiculously popular “Hey Missy.”
We recorded this audio book in 2023, look for it everywhere you can buy books soon!
In this collection of poems, Hannah Gamble plucks the girl from both the men and the unnecessary fluff to show the gut-wrenching reality of being a woman around men. In clipped language, she exposes the raw truth of being briefly trapped inside of a bar doorway and pretending to be okay with that.
This collection doesn't sugarcoat. Instead, it cakes the reader in the dirt of men's hands-hands that may cup a woman's chin in deception or force a woman's hips to theirs. With Gamble's explicitly honest language, the audience (all the while trying to shake the filth) will be unable to stop reading, finding at the core of The Traditional Feel of the Ballroom a woman's unshakable determination when she's had enough. like to show.
We were hired on to this project by Observer Pictures for voice work a main character named Malik. We didn't know during Covid we would also be writing the bonus episode. We are big fans of everything they do over at Observer Pictures. Check them out.
